Hello and Happy New Year
I hope you had a great winter break and a very enjoyable New Year’s. I would also like to wish you a great 2016.
This year, most of our students will move overseas and start college or university. It will be an exciting time. Of course, they will meet many new people and learn many new things at school. However, they will also get to experience many cultural differences. I think that this is very interesting. One of my favorite things about visiting different countries is experiencing the different holidays and festivals.
For example, one of the things I like about Christmas time in North America is that many people decorate their houses and front yards. It is fun to just walk around or drive around town and look at the lights and decorations.

The students at HIUC Osaka will be coming back to school this week. They should be rested after the break and ready to work hard. The winter term will finish in three weeks, and we still have a lot to do.
The first week back will be busy especially for us teachers. The students had assignments to work on over the break. They will turn them in this week, so we will be busy marking and correcting assignments.
I am looking forward to getting back to class.
