Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone!
We hope that you have all had a wonderful holiday
with your family and friends.
The New Year's holiday is often a time for reflecting
on the past year and making resolutions for the next year.
Some of you may wish to be healthier, stop a bad habit,
become better at time management, or make new friends.
For most of our students they may want to speak English more fluently, improve their listening/speaking/writing skill, get their homework done faster with a better score and to improve their TOEFL or IELTS score.
Many of our students decided to work on improving
their TOEFL and IELTS score before the holiday.
After the last class in December, HIUC Tokyo held
four TOEFL seminars (2 iBT and 2 ITP) as well as two IELTS courses.
The students learned some strategies to answer the questions more accurately and faster. Some of the students travelled from various places throughout Eastern Japan to join, and some students met new classmates. We hope that everyone got a lot of information and kept practicing the skills they learned throughout the holiday.
Even if you did not spend the holiday studying or doing homework, we hope that you all made some new goals for the upcoming year. Perhaps a few of you even decided that you wanted to take the big step of studying at an overseas university or college. Even though it may seem like a difficult task, no matter what your desire is, if you do small tasks every day to reach your goal, you will become successful and overcome the challenges.
Wishing you all the very best for 2016 and look forward to seeing you!!!
