Welcome back to school, everyone!

Welcome back everyone! We hope that you all enjoyed your holidays and had a great time with family and friends. Did you go anywhere special during the break? The listening and speaking camp ended August 5th and was a great success. It was truly amazing how much the students improved in just 11 days. They were making natural presentations, doing very funny and interesting role-plays and writing longer paragraphs. On the very last day of the camp, the students did not want to leave and go back to their hometowns. They spent a long time in the lobby saying good bye to each other, and it was very easy to see that they had all become close friends.
Today is the first day of the fall semester, so many of the students are excited to be back and to see each other. They are also a little nervous as they have new teachers, new classmates and new textbooks.
The F class is using a completely new textbook this term which is called Longman Academic Writing Series #3. This textbook will replace the old book, and it looks very good for students to improve their paragraph writing and introduce them to essays. The G class is also using a new textbook. Rather than reading the short novel The Pearl, they will be reading Animal Farm, by George Orwell this term.
The other big news for this term is that one of our night teachers will also be teaching in the daytime. If you get a chance please stop by and say hello to him.
Good luck to everyone this semester and as you can see the students are already having fun and getting started on their new homework.
