Hello. I hope you are having a nice summer break. The summer term at HIUC has ended. The students are now about to begin their summer break.
The last week of classes was busy. The students had many reports and presentations to give, and we were almost closed by a typhoon. Luckily, the typhoon did not force us to cancel classes.
On the last day, we had a small party to celebrate the end of the first term. We gave out awards for perfect attendance. I was happy because we had many students who had perfect attendance. We also gave out awards for success on the TOEFL test. We gave out awards for students who scored over 500 on the last TOEFL test, and we also gave out awards for students who improved their TOEFL scores. We had a few students who improved their scores by more than 30 points. That is a pretty good improvement for only one term.
We also had a couple of students graduate. They started near the end of the last school year and continued into this school year. They were really friendly and outgoing students. We will be sad to see them go. However, I am sure that they will do well overseas.
A number of students are now taking the summer TOEFL course. This is a short intensive course that gives students extra preparation for the TEOFL test. They will have some long days of studying, but it should help them further improve their TOEFL scores. When they finish the course, they will be able to start their summer break.
They will have about three weeks to relax and get ready for the next term. They also have summer tasks to work on while they are on break. This is to help them to further improve their English.
Have a good day and enjoy the heat.
