Hello. I hope you are having a nice week. My reading and writing class students were very busy this week.
This week they wrote three paragraphs. The first paragraph was about a picture of a bedroom. They had to describe what the room looked like. They had to explain where things were and what they looked like. They had only one chance to write this paragraph, so they had to fix their mistakes by themselves.
The second paragraph they wrote was about a picture of a park. In this picture, there were many people doing a variety of activities. They had to describe the park. They had to write about the people in the park and what activities they were doing. They wrote this paragraph one time. Then I checked it and put comments on it. Then they had to fix it and give it back to me. I will check it again. If it is good, they are done, but if there are many mistakes, they have to write it again.
The third paragraph was about a picture of a messy living room. They had to describe what the room looked like. They had to use words to tell me how messy it was. They also had to write this paragraph two times. I will also check it again. If it is good, they are done, but if there are many mistakes, they have to write it again.
As you can see, they have done a lot of writing this week. However, they are not done yet. This weekend they will write their first essay. They will write a five-part essay about a dangerous park. Next week, we will work on checking and fixing the essay. This is their first essay, so it will a bit of a challenge for them.
I think doing lots of writing is the best way for them to improve. Have a good week.
