Hello. Things are getting busy at HIUC Osaka. The students are going to enter their final week of classes soon. That means that they will be writing their final exams, handing in their final essays and research papers, and giving their final presentations. Then after a short break they will go to their new schools overseas.
As the current students are getting closer to the end, a new batch of students is joining us. This week, the new students have been having the first part of their orientation. They had a large entrance ceremony earlier in the week. They have also taken a TOEFL test and placement test. They also had one-on-one interviews.
Josh and I joined one of their orientation days this week. We quickly introduce ourselves and welcomed them to the school. Next week, we have a week long orientation session with them. I also had a chance to do an English speaking activity with them. In addition, we talked about their responsibilities when they start studying with us. I am looking forward to getting to know the students better.
In my next blog, I will try to give you an idea of what the last week and the first week of HIUC is like. It will be the last official week for our current students, and it will be the first unofficial week for many of your new students.
Until next time, have a good time and enjoy the spring weather.
